High Mountain Oolong Green Milk Tea – Gotcha Tea

My third friend went out with her family today, so I went on a friend date with my other friend to a Korean barbecue place she really likes. After that, I suggested Camellia since I was kind of craving it again after having it Tuesday, ha! My friend said they close at 8 and it was 7:50 ish, and I also checked the website and it said they close at 9 on Fridays, so I thought we were good. Turns out when we got there, they were very much closed, so as we thought about where to go for boba, I suggested Gotcha since it was somewhat close by and I had been meaning to try them for a while now.

There was a wide selection of teas, and thus milk teas, to choose from, and they had quite a few interesting and unique flavors as well on their menu. Right in the center though the high mountain oolong green caught my eye, and that sounded good, so that’s how I decided on that. I didn’t realize they had a black tea version until I noticed the bug in the cashier system, so I wonder how that would taste in comparison.

The drink is pretty good, and the tea flavor is really interesting! My drink at least is very tea flavor forward, and does taste like green tea with a slight interesting-ness to it. It’s kind of hard to describe how teas taste at some point other than the basic stuff I guess. If I had to try, it’s like a basic green tea with notes of a mountain tea maybe pulling from my memories…? Unless I’m just trying to convince myself…overall, good tea drink with just a slight bit of bitter aftertaste. Boba is great actually, warm so you know it’s fresh, very chewy and a bit soft, and much brown sugar flavor.
