My parents offered me to get an online-ordered drink, so usually that means either 7 Leaves or Sunright. I will not turn down a drink, However, I was in the middle of work (in which I can’t look away from my screen), and 7 Leaves can only order on the mobile app, which I couldn’t use because it would take my attention away from my computer. Sunright I can order online though, so Sunright it is today.
Immediately when I opened the online order portal, I saw there was a new milk tea in the new drinks section: the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea. I’ve been meaning to try Sunright’s White Peach Oolong for a while, but they only offered it with their sea creams or on its own as a tea. Which is fine, I would have gotten there eventually, but we all know I prefer milk teas so this looks like a great addition to their menu…I also decided to get the honey boba for a lighter boba flavor.
The drink is good…but unexpectedly works only ok as a milk tea. I definitely get a very peachy flavor and that’s good, along with a slight flavor and creaminess from the milk. I mostly get peach flavor which is fine, but also feels like a defeated purpose of getting a milk tea. Somehow, these two flavors don’t perfectly go together, unlike a regular tea and milk do, which is a little sad…as a drink it’s fine, but probably not the best milk tea. Boba with a light flavor works great though, since the peach flavor is so strong and fragrant, and the texture is great too.
There is an odd sediment that happens when the drink sits…I mix it, but I think it’s part of the tea, so that’s interesting…
