Huzzah to the end of my winter quarter, and to the slightly early start to my spring break! My dad came to pick me up after my last final, so we went to a restaurant I picked out, and obviously I needed to get boba. Plus, my mom requested a drink, and my dad didn’t mind, so off to get a drink we go. I wanted to see if I could try Rare Tea today, but they close kind of early, so my back up for today is Feng Cha, since they’re pretty close by in the area.
I wanted a milk tea, even though it’s later in the evening. To kind of balance that out I guess, I’m going for a green tea as the base of my milk tea.
Oh my gosh, the guy who was working was so nice. So I’m pretty sure I asked for boba, but I guess the cashier didn’t hear it or catch me, because when I checked my receipt it wasn’t there, so obviously they didn’t make my drink with boba. At first when I told the girl who made it that I wanted boba, I said I was willing to pay for it, so she said she’ll remake it and talk to the cashier. Then the guy who was working saw me waiting and said I just wanted boba right, and I said yea, I’ll even pay for it, so I stood in line behind the other people who were ordering. When he finished making it, he said I didn’t need to wait and he’d give me the new drink with boba. Dang, I should have paid for it, but he was pretty nice about it.
Anyway, it’s a really good milk tea. The tea flavor is very up front but not bitter, and goes really well and smoothly with the milk they use here. Actually, a very ideal milk tea. Boba is pretty good, very bouncy and chewy, but not much flavor to it.
