Roasted Oolong Milk Tea – Tan-Cha

Today one of my friends came home a little later, so my other friend suggested we get some Korean fried chicken as a quick option. Plus, it makes a great movie food, and we’ve been watching the Star Wars movies together recently. Tan Cha is right next door, which is great for the boba purchasing convenience.

Today I went with a new milk tea from Tan Cha, since I like milk teas and don’t need to wake up early tomorrow for work! I was originally looking to see if they had a green tea option, but they actually don’t and only have matcha as opposed to other green teas. Wild. Anyway, a roasted oolong also sounds good, so I opted for that. With no foam. I thought that if I just said it, the cashier would understand, but I guess it is the default is with the foam as it is on the menu, which is understandable. On the tablet confirmation screen the name of the drink cut out perfectly before the inclusion of the foam so I thought I was good, but getting my receipt confirmed that it was going to have foam. No wonder my drink came to be $7, and I had to ask for it to have no foam. Tiramisu foam is fine, but I don’t need to pay an extra dollar for that.

The drink is pretty good! I really like the roasted oolong flavor this has, and the tea flavor really stands out in this drink. I really like it and would probably get it again. Boba is nice and chewy, and a little sweet!
