Sea Cream Jasmine Tea (#2) – 7 Leaves Cafe

Happy Lunar New Year! I was browsing some of the social medias of local boba shops, since Asian, as best as one can without actually having a social media account, and some are hosting giveaways, or giving away points, raffles, and coupons for the occasion.

My original plan was to get Sunright, which is doing none of that but a limited edition cup, except right when I was about to place my online order, for some reason, the online order system says they’re no longer accepting orders. Gee thanks. I love Sunright and their drinks and haven’t had a Sunright drink since last May (oh my gosh), and I guess that’ll continue a little longer…Since my dad was going to pick it up after picking my sister up, and he doesn’t like ordering for us and much rather prefers to just pick up after we order online, our next choice was 7 Leaves, which is an easy go-to for us. 7 Leaves’s Lunar New Year promotion is double the points, which is nice I guess. I do have a bunch of points racked up, but to take advantage of the promotion, guess I’m not spending any of it today…

Anyway, surprisingly, not a milk tea from 7 Leaves today, but their Sea Cream Jasmine. I figured I could use a change of pace, plus, since I’m ordering a little after lunch and still feeling a little full, I could use a lighter drink. (Though, I was fully prepared to order a milk tea from Sunright, but that’s not happening…)

First of all, this must be a bad luck boba today again or something, or something is up with 7 Leaves and me. My mom’s and my sister’s drinks were fine, but mine had ice in it, so by the time I finished my first class to pick up my drink, it was super cold and watery around the edges. Then I tried to shake the drink to mix in the cream, and it spilled everywhere because it wasn’t sealed correctly all the way…Gee. Then I forgot it was broken and it spilled again when I tried to swish it around. What did I do to deserve all this today…The saving grace is we have a bunch of 7 Leaves caps because they always give us extra caps. That helped, but still…

The drink is good I guess. Refreshing, albeit really cold and would be great with no ice…I still really like the flavor of their Jasmine tea, and their cream goes pretty well after being (as well as it can) mixed in. Boba’s fine, chewy and has flavor.

I’m so done with this at this point. Ugh.
