My sister is getting her Covid booster shot today, so since we were in the plaza, my mom figured we could stop by Sharetea and get a drink. She chose it over the new Pink Pig in the plaza, and Cha for Tea, but we have a closer Cha to home, so Sharetea it is.
So I was looking at their menu again, and my mom already told me her order way in advance…I guess I was influenced by her because she wanted a fresh milk oolong tea, and for some reason I’m still under the notion that fresh milk is “healthier” than creamer (though I have no idea if this is actually true or not, but I roll with it). Their fresh milk options are relatively limited as opposed to the milk tea section of the menu. I’ll eventually get to the rest of the milk tea section (probably) which has some of the more interesting takes, like Okinawan, and Hokkaido milk teas…but regardless, I was looking to go for the fresh milk section today, so I went basic and decided to try out their green tea. The winter melon was tempting, but I’ll save the non-caffeinated option for a day when I go later I guess.
The drink has a really light and refreshing green tea taste. I think the tea is the more prevalent flavor here, with the milk to provide a light texture and dilute the tea a little. The drink itself is not that creamy, but a little watery, and so it’s better as a lighter milk tea. Overall, the green tea is not bad, a little on the light side flavor-wise, and also doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste, so I’m relatively happy with this drink. Boba is pretty good, chewy, and a little sweet taste.
