Today my dad, boyfriend and I went to Stacks to have brunch. My dad has been meaning to go back to Stacks for awhile, and he mentioned he wanted to take my boyfriend here. It’s also convenient because it’s right next to Omomo, which is another boba must have when visiting around here I guess. He even heard about Omomo from a friend of his, who said he saw it on TikTok. That’s wild, and I guess to show how big Omomo really is. It’s also his last day visiting, so ending his trip with Omomo is not that bad I think.
I was actually thinking that if I was full from lunch that I would just get a lighter drink, or just plain tea. One that I was thinking about was getting the White Peach Oolong with cheese foam, since that seemed like a nice drink to try out, even though I did essentially have a version of that yesterday. Since I thought about that a little more, and the drink yesterday had Osmanthus in it (supposedly) I started feeling the Osmanthus milk tea from Omomo, so that’s why I ended up with that.
It’s as good and tastes as I remember (though that should be a good thing right? Good taste and consistency…)! Nicely milky, not too heavy or watery, and a good floral tea taste.
Also, apparently today they only have golden boba, as opposed to their usual black brown sugar boba. I’m not sure why they don’t usually offer this or what happened to their normal boba stock (maybe the boba shortage?) but this is a cool change in my opinion, ha! I don’t know if it’s a psychological thing, but I felt kike today’s boba was chewier and had a little bit sweeter flavor than the normal Omomo boba, but that could be just me.
