Hibiscus Strawberry Tea – GuilTea Cravings

Since my birthday is tomorrow, and you know we’re getting boba, we’re going to go out for dinner tomorrow and not today…but since my roomies were talking about how they’d like to go back to GuilTea again, and since they got snacks last time, I was thinking that we could do a semi-outing and just go for GuilTea today…so after mulling about it we went…

I was looking at their online menu for inspiration, and I was actually feeling something a little lighter, so I was focusing on the fruit tea section. The Hibiscus Strawberry was pretty tempting, since it reminded me of Seven Leaves, and it’s also decaf, which is great for a later night drink. The Tiki Tea also seemed like a pretty interesting combination of tropical flavors, and it also included strawberry hibiscus in it. I decided before I left that if I could replace the strawberry popping boba in the Hibiscus Strawberry with regular boba I would get that, but otherwise if not I would go for the Tiki Tea. Luckily, they did have boba today, and the cashier said I could replace it (plus there was no charge for the replacement!) I can always get the Tiki Tea later! I was also not going to pay for no ice today so I got less ice.

The drink is a very clean tasting, refreshing drink. I get a mostly light strawberry flavor, but I think I also taste some of the hibiscus. Their boba doesn’t have any flavor, but it’s very chewy.
