Tiger Boba Latte – 85 Degrees Bakery

Usually I’m pretty chill about where we go for boba, as long as we get boba, because I just care about the drink, as most of the places around here are good and have good choices…but I specifically requested we go to 85 Degrees today because the October coupon for a cheaper Tiger Boba Latte in the app is enticing. Like I’ve mentioned, I normally prefer milk teas or other more specialty drinks as opposed to just sweet milk, but I don’t hate sweet milk. It’s nice, and I’ll take the cheaper price…

So not too much to write about drink choice today. The coupon is for a large Tiger Boba Latte, and there’s no tea in the actual drink. When I asked to make my adjustments, the cashier was really nice to say it wouldn’t be any extra charge, which I expected but still, nice of her.

The drink is a solid sweet milk. Ok, but that aside, the toasty brown sugar flavor is really strong. I don’t get brown sugar milks that often, but the flavor profile of this drink reminds me of the drink I got from Hui Wei, aka a really good mix of milk and brown sugar flavor. It’s a smooth drink, with both a strong milk flavor and brown sugar flavor, but not overly creamy. The boba flavor is also really good, coated in that brown sugar syrup and really giving the boba flavor. As for the texture, it is on the tougher side, but oh well, overall a good drink. And also non caffeinated, so maybe better sleep? I also can sleep in an hour tomorrow too!
