Today we actually went to HMart this time, so since we were in the area, we went back to R&B since it’s close by! I’m actually pretty happy to go back so soon since I was pretty satisfied with my drink quality last time, plus I got an extra third of a drink (splitting the free one with my friends) last time too, ha!
So I know I got a green tea last time too, but wintermelon is a relatively uncommon flavor to see at boba places, so it’s nice to see it when I do come across it on menus. I wanted to try it last week too, and all the more reason to since my friend ordered the drink last time. And it’s recommended on the menu, so it has to be good right?
The drink itself has a very subtle wintermelon flavor. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was there, but as I kept drinking it it became more apparent. It’s not the main flavor, because to me I mostly get a green tea flavor. The wintermelon is nice, but at least from this experience, it doesn’t stand out as much as I would like. The boba tasted as great as last time, but not as super soft chewy though, but more on the bouncy chewy side today.
On another note, I had another mishap today, though probably more my fault. I thought everything looked good when I checked my order, but apparently he put in wintermelon green tea without the milk. So at first, I saw a pure tea drink and was confused, but I looked at my receipt again and saw it. It took me a minute, but my friend helped me locate it on the fruit tea section. It turns out pure fruit tea is 30 cents more expensive than the milk tea, so I kind of bought a more expensive drink than I thought I would…
