Jasmine Green Milk Tea – Boba Guys

Today we just stayed in and chilled. I’m leaving the Bay Area Tuesday morning, so I’m a little sad my vacation is ending, but oh well…my boyfriend wanted to get boba, so we looked around on DoorDash and saw Boba Guys. Apparently, I should try it since it’s a San Francisco special, and I’ve heard of the hype before, so I was pretty open to trying it.

I was looking at the menu and thought about getting something more unique, because I don’t think I’ll have the chance to go to or have Boba Guys again for a while. Nothing really appealed to me at the moment, and I kind of wanted a milk tea anyway…then I thought about my friend who visited the Bay Area a bit ago and told me I had to try Boba Guys, and she likes Jasmine Milk Tea, and since I also saw it in the popular drinks section, I just decided to go with that. Plus, Jasmine is always a good go to, and nothing can possibly go wrong right? My boyfriend also thought that it might take a while to get delivered so it might be better to get no ice so the boba doesn’t go hard in the car. I mean, I usually get no ice, but he usually does. Unfortunately, in the DoorDash order system, there was no ice option and the special comments section was unavailable, so I couldn’t order no ice anyway…curse you boba shop. If I ever go in person I will ask for no ice…

The drink was actually so good. The Jasmine flavor was pretty strong and came through so I could really taste the aromatic flavor of the Jasmine in the tea. It wasn’t strong as in the tea was bitter, but more so in that the tea flavor itself was really good and ideal. It wasn’t overly sweet either, and I found it interesting that their recommended was half sugar anyway. I also got some roasted notes, giving the drink an extra layer of flavor, which I wasn’t sure came from the tea or the boba, but it may have been more so the boba I think? The boba was pretty good, had a really good flavor to it, not being overwhelmingly sweet and a little chewy. The drink did take a while to get delivered, and it was in an iced drink, so someday I hope to get the boba fresh…it wasn’t that hard when I was drinking it though.
