This morning we went to Marufuku Ramen, which is supposed to be the best ramen in San Francisco. I thought it was pretty good, and I liked the noodles they used there. Supposedly they also opened a new one in my hometown, so maybe I should stop by sometime. Afterwards, we went to Twin Peaks, which is one of the highest points in the city. Then we got boba, ha!
This place does a lot of flavored teas and drinks and stuff, and I was wondering what a snow ice was. After asking the cashier, it turns out it was basically a smoothie I think, so since today was on the warmer side of the weather since I got here, I wanted to get one, specifically the matcha as a change. Unfortunately, she said they ran out of matcha, so I was a little disappointed…After thinking a bit, I just decided to get an original milk tea because I’m not much of a milk tea flavored person. I chose black tea because I was feeling original original I guess.
So my boyfriend ordered their brown sugar milk tea, which was on a sign but technically not on the menu, and when we got our drinks, they looked the same, because I also had some kind of a sugar drizzle on the side. Maybe they just add brown sugar to the original milk tea? Anyway, the drink itself was ok. It definitely had that black tea flavor stand out, so if you care about the flavor of the tea, then you’d probably like this place I guess. Even my boyfriend who usually gets full sugar said the black tea tasted too bitter for him. I thought mine was ok since I want to taste it. The texture was on the slightly watery side which isn’t bad, because the flavor didn’t taste that watered down. The boba was ok, pretty chewy and a little sweet.
I have to say, my drink did come out pretty quick after I ordered, so I guess that’s good?
