This was yesterday’s drink, since I didn’t get to finish writing the post yesterday. Yesterday, I flew into San Francisco to visit my boyfriend, so huzzah. I landed, arrived at his house, put my things down, went to go eat lunch, and then we walked a bit to get boba. Wow, so soon into the trip, ha! We walked to this place called 1011 Sip Tea, and I guess they were doing a Snoopy collaboration at the moment because they had a bunch. of merchandise and Snoopy themed decorations. It was pretty cute.
So I went basic from the menu and just picked the Taiwan Milk Tea with Tapioca, since I figured it could be a good classic to start with, sounded simple, and came. with boba in it anyway. Pretty much it.
For a first drink from this place, it was pretty good! The drink had a really nice full flavor to it, and was creamy enough but not too thick. The tea itself had a bit of an herbal-y flavor, so. it was on that side o f black tea, but it wasn’t too noticeable. I might have been one sweeter side for half sugar, because it also tasted like it had some sort of darker sweet flavor in It?
I guess here they call their boba tapioca, which is fine and as valid as boba is for a name. What confused me at first was that on the menu, the sample image for the tapioca was a white ball, but I’m pretty sure in the actual drink it was a normal blackish-brown color like normal boba. As for the taste, it was pretty good. It was pretty sweet, and bouncy and chewy. It also felt almost perfectly round, ha.
