Wow, Wushiland’s back after quite a while I think (not them. but us ordering them, ha!). I think it’s more of we always knew they come every week and we (my mom and I) would usually think about ordering, but also with the frequency of boba we were getting maybe it was ok to hold back for a bit…Anyway, since we felt like ordering this week and actually checked the online order form again, they’re doing some kind of sale/special promotion for tea lattes this time around, with “new”-ish items, organic lattes. More so “different” than “new”, because I’m assuming it’s just the lattes but with organic milk. How this promotion works is that the regular tea lattes + boba are $1 off their regular price, and the organic lattes and $1 more than the on sale tea lattes…but organic lattes have never been on the menu? So I’m kind of confused but oh well…This also begs the question, why are they offering this now and not offering organic in the normal options before?
Actually, before we kind of stopped getting Wushiland, I told myself that next time we got Wushiland I would get the green milk tea since I miss Wushiland’s green milk tea flavor so much. Something about how creamy and strong the green tea flavor is, that you just can’t get in the latte unfortunately. Plus, back to classics since I’m (basically) done with trying the stuff on the menu I want to try. Well, since this week they had a sale/organic is a thing on the menu now, I figured I should just take advantage of the sale (even though I guess getting organic made it the same price as normal, but there’s always a next time right?) After getting all three lattes in the past, the oolong flavor balanced with the milk flavor the most, so that’s why I got the oolong in my order.
Is it just me, or did the drink look a little lighter than the Oolong Latte I got last time? I’m not sure about last time, but comparing it to my mom’s Black Tea Latte, it’s also lighter, even though I think Wushiland’s Oolong is on the darker side. Upon first sip, I did get a relatively strong Oolong flavor that I was happy about. After drinking it for a bit, I can still taste the milk, but the Oolong flavor is present which is really nice. Overall, pretty good drink. There is also a lot of boba today (testing my boba to drink ratio skills), and very chewy and bouncy after microwaving. My mom says that Wushiland’s boba tends to be on the harder / uncooked side, which I sometimes agree with, but I don’t think that’s the case for me today.
On another note, the sticker label just says OT Latte with an @ before the OT. I don’t know if the @ is usually there, but there is no sign of Organic anywhere on the label. Did we actually get Organic Milk for the price of a slightly upgraded normal Latte on sale? I also think that because Organic Latte isn’t usually a menu item there probably isn’t a label for it in the system, but I digress…
