A few days ago WordPress said it was my account creation anniversary, so happy belated anniversary to the blog! For anyone, past, present, or future that’s reading, thanks for your support. 🙂 Shoutout to my family for putting up with me during quarantine and helping me meet all my boba needs, ha!
A+ was back yesterday for another delivery, and huzzah for A+ and boba! This has also been the longest I’ve gone recently without boba, for a whopping 9 days, ha! That’s probably not a bad thing, because boba is not the healthiest drink in the world, and I do think that my boba consumption lately has been a little much during the pandemic. However, I do think aside form boba, I eat pretty healthily, thought I do like to eat a lot and snack a lot, and I’ve been almost consistently working out at home the past year or so.
Moving along the A+ Classic Milk Teas section, I decided to try their Matcha this time. There’s a few other drinks in the section that I’m not sure I’ll try, but we shall see in the future I guess…Plus, going for a different kind of milk tea from them for a change and see how it’ll be.
At first glance, the green of the drink looked a little light for a matcha drink, and there was a little sediment at the bottom. I really should have mixed the sediment in before breaking the seal cap, but alas, today I am being pretty stupid. Once it was mixed in with the straw though the green got a little darker. As for the drink itself, it’s definitely not the best matcha I’ve ever had. The matcha flavor is a little bitter, and it does feel a little chalky. It’s a lot less “good matcha” flavor and more bitter matcha flavor. Not much sweetness to it, even with 50% sweet which I’ve been doing with all my drinks. The boba is good though, and adds that touch of necessary sweet. Probably not going to be a go-to from A+.
Also, this time has just solidified that, my god, A+ has the most inconsistent cups ever. Today, it looks like they have the sturdy plastic tall cup with their logo with a leaf. This is the fourth type of cup from them now, if you include the blank one. What’s up with that?! This is also the most inconvenient one, because it uses a seal cap. Normally, it’s nothing to mind, but when you have to break the cap to put the boba in, you’re left with no cap and prone to drink spillage (which did occur today sadly…) At least do what Wushiland does and provide an extra cap afterward?
