Today’s a special occasion, because I actually headed down to San Diego today to go tour some apartments in person. It’s a bit of a drive from where I currently live, and since I went with a friend and was in the area, I figured we’d get a drink. Plus, a new Wushiland opened at UTC since I’ve last been so why not? Today was a real excursion! Also actually adulting, and apartment hunting is stressful…
I really wanted a Jasmine Milk Tea, like what my friend got, but I figured since I’m coming to Wushiland in person it’d be the perfect opportunity to get one of the Macchiatos since I feel like I should drink the milk foam fresh. When I first saw the Macchiato option on the menu, I thought it was coffee, but turns out after searching it up, it’s just a milk foam topping usually on coffee. So it sounds (and looks) similar to a cheese foam or those kinds of thing, but just milk.
I tried to lick a bit of the foam off the straw, but couldn’t get that much haha. Though from what I could taste it really just tasted like whipped cream (whipped milk I guess). Then for the most part the drink itself was a nice, clean green tea that’s slightly sweet, either from the boba, added sugar, or both. Basically a cheese//salt foam jasmine tea but not cheesy, which I personally think is nice. The usual salt foam gives it a new aspect of flavor, but I like this too! Bobas great, very chewy.
I couldn’t get a nice picture in front of the store because my phone just froze and restarted on me, so here’s one in the car…
Details: Green Tea Macchiato; with boba; no ice; half sugar; from Wushiland Boba (Westfield UTC)
