Today my parents had a food pick-up at the Diamond Jamboree plaza today, so I piped up asking if we could get a drink since there’s a Sunright at Diamond Jamboree. Turns out the plaza was busy, as it usually is, so they decided to go to the other Sunright we usually go to. So we’re getting Sunright anyway 🙂 I really love Sunright and their drinks, we should have more occasions to get it more often, ha!
Today I chose their Matcha Milk Tea. I feel like I haven’t had a good matcha drink in a bit, but also mainly because I need to start writing posts about Sunright’s matcha drinks to be honest. This is actually my second time getting the Matcha Milk Tea, but I think that was before I started the blog last summer. I remember it being a pretty good and solid Matcha drink. Apparently they also put Four Seasons tea in it for some reason? Honestly since it’s slightly later in the afternoon maybe I could have tried a non-tea drink. Nowadays I try to avoid caffeinated drinks so I can have a functioning sleep schedule, but it’s a Sunday afternoon, I’m working, I could use some motivation to get some homework done tonight, and I don’t have class tomorrow morning anyway. Oh, I also got honey boba because I thought it might complement the matcha better.
It’s a really good Matcha drink. Not too sweet and with a perfect balance of flavors. The Matcha itself is just right, not too bitter, and goes so well with the the slight creaminess of the milk. I think you can really taste the quality of the Matcha! I can’t exactly taste the Four Seasons Tea, but maybe it adds some bitter tea flavor. Either that, or it’s there to add another layer of complexity. At times it does taste a little on the bitter side, so if you don’t like that maybe get more sugar, or it could be the added tea. Maybe if I think hard enough I can taste it. Boba goes really well, super bouncy and chewy (was the honey boba always this bouncy?), but could use some flavor on its own. I feel like I’ve been getting honey boba because I think the flavor would pair better, but recently Sunright’s honey boba hasn’t had as much flavor as that one time, which is slightly disappointing. On the other hand, honey is supposed to be better than brown sugar though right…
