Oolong Milk Tea – A+ Tea House

Happy Belated Mother’s Day! A+ is back again this week with a new online ordering system. Previously they’ve always used Google Forms, but for whatever reason it’s on a separate site now. Took me a second to learn how to navigate it, but it wasn’t too hard. As always, saved it from yesterday evening. I actually don’t entirely need the caffeine energy boost today, since I accidentally slept in…but huzzah for boba at least.

This week I’m finally trying their Oolong Milk Tea after not getting it last time. Hopefully it’s a good Oolong, and I’m was interested to see how the tea itself compares to other Oolongs as well as the other teas they offer. Now that I think about it after comparing Wushiland’s fresh milk and milk tea options, could the slight wateriness of A+’s Milk Teas be because we request fresh milk? Not too sure, but perhaps to experiment sometime in the future…

As it turns out from when I first saw it, their Oolong is on the lighter side, which was a pleasant surprise. When I had my first initial sips, my first thought was that it almost tasted like an Osmanthus Oolong. I say almost, because it wasn’t as floral-y as a normal Osmanthus Oolong is, and there’s some other taste in there that definitely makes it not an Osmanthus Oolong. However, it is on the floral-y side of the Oolong family, which makes it an intriguing drink! So far, this is probably my favorite from the 3 Specialty Milk Tea drinks that I’ve tried.

Pink boba is pretty good, and has that distinguishing taste to it. Very chewy.

Is it just me, or does the logo on the cup keep changing? Consistency or lack thereof much?

Details: Oolong Milk Tea; 50% sugar; requested no ice; requested fresh milk; with pink boba
