My mom said she basically just wanted some boba. I don’t know if she just wanted a sweet treat, or if she was just craving a drink, but regardless, I’m always happy to help out (especially if I get a drink in the process too…). I could have sworn she suggested she wan’t feeling well, but I guess it was just me…We’re going for Sunright today because my dad’s going to a supermarket near by, and said that it was close enough. I really haven’t had Sunright in a while, and I’m really excited to get to look at their menu again, ha! It’s also super hot today, so a drink is a great way to combat that.
Upon reviewing my last Sunright post from a few months ago, apparently I need to get writing about their Matcha drinks. I’m still going to do that, but apparently they got a new Mango drink line. When you see “New drinks”, and they include a fruit, sometimes they might be seasonal. I don’t think Iv’e seen that problem with Sunright before because most of their new menu items are pretty permanent, aside from their collaboration desserts, but I figured I’d err on the side of caution. Therefore, I am getting the Mango Green Milk Tea from this new Mango line today. Plus, mango (a fruit) and Jasmine Tea (a lighter tea) sounds like such a nice refreshing drink combination for a hot afternoon. I also went with honey boba today because I thought it’d go better with the flavors of the drink.
The Mango flavor is very fresh tasting, not artificial at all, so you can really know that they use real mango. Pre-shaking, I could tell that there were quite a few sediments on the bottom, so that’s why I made sure to actually shake it before I stuck the straw in. When drinking it too I could feel the small mango particles(?), which I guess is also proof of the real fruit. It is a little gritty though, so I’m not the biggest fan, but it’s not that annoying I guess. It is the perfect kind of creamy consistency from the milk, not too thick, but I can’t really taste the Jasmine Tea, which is a shame, because Sunright has good Jasmine Tea. Boba is pretty nice, very chewy, but not with much flavor.
