Green Tea Latte – Wushiland Boba

We ordered Wushiland again this week, which means I get to have boba for breakfast today again since I saved yesterday’s delivery for consumption today. Wushiland’s caffeine effect I find is pretty strong, which is very ideal on a day like Thursday because I get up a little earlier than I’d like, have class, and then work for a bit in the afternoon. I know I say this a lot, but I appreciate the extra energy boost while having the great taste of boba in the morning. 🙂

Next on my latte list is the Green Tea Latte. I know last time I said I was going to go for the Oolong one, but since I had an Oolong recently, I figured I’d go for the Green Tea version instead. Plus, Green Tea is a tamer flavor, and overall I do prefer it more. Of course, I’d be down for any tea any time, but if I had to choose, Green Tea here is the way to go.

The drink does have a slight Green Tea flavor, but it’s not as strong as the Green Milk Tea. It’s a little disappointing because I really like Wushiland’s Green Tea flavor, but I guess it really does have to do with having real milk in there. In fact, same as last time with the Black Tea Latte, I really taste the real milk, and actually more so this time. There’s a lot of places nowadays that say they use real milk, but Wushiland is the first “real milk” that I can actually taste the real milk. Maybe it’s my bad for picking a lighter flavored tea to go along with the strong taste of the milk, but honestly, I mostly taste milk…I guess if I want Wushiland’s Green Tea I probably shouldn’t get the latte option for optimal flavor.

I think this time’s boba is the best from Wushiland so far. After microwaving, it was the perfect balance of soft and chewy at the same time, and has great flavor. I noticed that microwaving it will only return the boba to the state it was when it was previously cooked, and that it’s not going to cook it further. So I guess this time they cooked it a little more?

In other news, apparently there’s going to be a boba shortage in the US because a lot of places are getting their boba imported from abroad…so my parents were considering buying Wushiland’s bulk cook-your-own boba that’s offered in the pick-up.
