As my Spring Break comes to a close, my sister’s Spring Break is starting…Too bad that our Spring Breaks couldn’t overlap, but not that we could have gone anywhere or take a vacation anyway. Besides, I’m always home, and I’m always going to see her around regardless whether or not our breaks lines up. My parents wanted to get her a treat to start off her break, and thus, we have 7 Leaves drinks today.
But wait, you may (not) ask, didn’t you just write on Monday (wow, that feels so long ago, but I guess it isn’t) that you can drink boba for at least a week because you were getting wisdom teeth surgery on Tuesday? To that good sir, thank you for your concern as to my well-being, and yes, that is indeed correct. To be technically correct, it is advised that I do not use straws for a week (my theory is the sucking might aggravate wounds or whatnot). However, liquids and soft foods are advised if the normal diet is too difficult for the mouth, and technically boba is a liquid and soft-ish food.
The only problem is not using a straw, which proves to be slightly annoying, but have no fear, long Asian (specifically Korean I think) spoons to the rescue for some boba soup action. Just to be safe, I’ve been trying to mostly use my front teeth for chewing, but it’s not too bad back there either. This will probably actually be better for boba to drink rationing, so I cannot blame straw suckage for that…
I will never say no to boba unless something is actually wrong, and where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? I’m actually doing pretty well with recovery, which might be due to multiple factors, including the fact that I only got the upper two out, which I’ve been told is easier. I could say more, but you’re probably not here for that…
We are welcoming back the 7 Leaves Jasmine Milk Tea! The flavor is as clean as ever, slightly chilled even without ice makes it such a perfect refreshing drink. The aromatic flavor is amazing and adds to the experience. You can seriously not go wrong with it, considering their Jasmine is very different from the standard Jasmine. Boba today is nicely chewy and soft (which is great, heh), but not with that much flavor on its own.
Details: Jasmine Milk Tea; Upsize; Easy Sweet; No ice; with boba; from 7 Leaves Cafe (Irvine)
