Jasmine Green Milk Tea – Wushiland Boba

I used to get Oo Tea a lot when I was back at college. Ah, the memories of pre-covid era college…Anyway, among the millions of other Asian pick-up delivery services my dad found, was a Wushiland Boba delivery service nearby, so obviously we jumped on the opportunity! Apparently they deliver every Wednesday. This was delivered yesterday, but because I wasn’t free until later, and I pieced together that the boba was separate so I could warm it up without warming up the drink, I decided to save it for today. Besides, today’s a busy day, so the drink can carry my energy. 🙂

I used to only get the standard milk tea from Oo Tea because it was the first one I tried, and it’s pretty good, so I never felt like changing. That is, until my friend told me about how they liked how aromatic their Jasmine was, and after I tried it, I was sold too. I’ve been missing a good Jasmine recently, so I decided to go for that when I ordered. I did notice though, that the order form had both milk teas and lattes, but I’m pretty sure Oo Tea only had milk teas. In the latte section, it was just a Green Tea Latte, but specifically Jasmine in the Milk Tea. Perhaps this calls for an eventual investigation…

Also, there was no place in the online order form for ice level, so I put “no ice” for all our drinks in the special notes box, but they all came with ice anyway. That’s a bummer. They did put the boba in a separate cup, which is a nice thought, but according to my parents, it was also undercooked. Maybe it was meant to be warmed up separately. Regardless, I just popped it into the microwave, and it came out piping hot and chewy and nicely sweet. As always, Wushiland never disappoints with the level of boba, maybe even more so this time.

The drink tastes like I remember! Slightly aromatic, with a nice green tea taste. The sticker label did just say Green Milk Tea (which is what the name is at Oo Tea I think), as opposed to to Jasmine Green Milk Tea on the order form. A great light, refreshing, green tea. Although I did take it freshly cold out of the fridge, once I put my freshly microwaved hot boba in, it did warm up the drink drastically, which I guess is to be expected. The boba barely fit in the cup! I had to eat a few, and drink a sip to fit it in without overfilling. Overall, a great drink to start my day.
