Taiwan Bubble Tea Bun

My parents went grocery shopping this morning, and brought back a pack of frozen steamed buns filled with boba! The package claims that boba goes great with milk tea, which makes me think that there will be a boba and milk tea cream filling inside. The package contains 6 individual frozen buns, and preferably steamed.

It’s a pretty nice treat! On the outside, the bun is a standard white bun, a little fluffy and chewy. It’s not too thick and not too think, which can sometimes be a problem with buns with filling. The filling is nice too. The cream is not bad, reminiscent of other milk tea creams. The flavor isn’t that strong, and is more so there to compliment the boba. The boba is chewy and just the right amount of sweetness, and steaming hot when fresh off the steamer makes for such a great dessert. If you’re ever craving boba on a cold winter day like these current months, check out this bun!
