Here’s to another somewhat-random Trader Joe’s run with my dad! Today my also sister tagged along, making it an almost-complete family grocery trip. Does that mean next time my mom will also go? Who knows, only time will tell until the next time we go to Trader Joe’s…I seem to find new, interesting things to try out every time I go. Such is the magic of Trader Joe’s. What will intrigue me next?
Man, One Zo was a lot busier than last time today. I attributed it to it being a little later in the afternoon, combined with the recent hotter weather. Seriously, why is it over 80 degrees in January?! I even had to bust out the shorts and t-shirts yesterday. It can’t be just a Southern California thing. Though I think the temperature is supposed to drop back down next week, so hopefully I can stay in the cozy winter weather for just a bit longer.
I was looking at the One Zo menu for something to try today, and even though it’s a little later, I figured it couldn’t hurt to get a tea since it’s the weekend. I realized they offer a Wintermelon tea latte, and I was really interested and wanted to try it. Though I didn’t plan on it, Wintermelon tea doesn’t have caffeine anyway, so that’s a plus for my sleep schedule! I’ll save my other caffeine-free option, the Chrysanthemum series, for a different time.
I haven’t had many wintermleon drinks, so I was excited to try it out. Once I took a sipl I instantly loved it. It tastes so good as a latte, and the flavor is relatively strong that I can definitely make out the wintermelon flavor. Wintermelon as a flavor is a little hard to describe, but if I had to try, it’s like a kind of toasty sweet drink. I really do recommend the flavor if you see it on the menu!
Boba is pretty consistent, and as good quality as last time. Soft, chewy, and with just a hint of honey flavor! I am absolutely loving the amount of boba One Zo gives in each cup. I wished it were easier to distribute the amount of drink I drink to the boba I suck, but oh well.
