Is it counterintuitive to get a post-dentist drink? Whatever the case, I went to my second dentist appointment of the year, and stopped by Cha for Tea afterwards since it’s nearby. Man, I still remember writing the post earlier in the year about having my dentist appointment too early in the morning…no longer a problem hehe. Ah, the perks of going when the store just opens, no line!
Today is actually really hot outside for some reason, and today is supposed to be the official first day of winter I think. Wild. So since it’s super hot, I went with the Thai Cooler, Cha for Tea’s version of a slushy / blended Thai Tea. I’ve been kind of meaning to try it for a while, but was looking for a hotter day. Great opportunity today.
Well, I was excited to try the slushy, but probably a combination of the drive home and the heat made the drink melt a little, so it was less of the slushy texture I’d hoped, which can be good and bad. Good, because I don’t get a block of ice at the end I have to pick at, but bad, because it low-key defeats the purpose of getting the blended version. Oh well. The drink is a good blended Thai drink, and I think I could probably afford to get less sweet if I ever get it again. Almost like a slightly better version of Lollicup’s. I was also pleasantly surprised at how good the boba quality was for the store just opening. It was super soft, chewy, and sweet, so the boba at Cha is usually pretty consistent!

Nice weather indeed!
