It’s my birthday! It’s that time of year to cash in all the birthday coupons, and because Ding Tea uses Fivestars, the coupon expires today, so I figured I’d use it. As a side note, I got notifications from two Ding Teas. This one gives $3.75 off, which is about slightly less than. the price of a regular drink, whereas the other one was buy one get one free. I feel like the other one is more worth it, but this begs the question, why are they different?
Today I chose the Jasmine Green Tea Latte. I felt like I haven’t had a typical Jasmine in a while (I think the most recent one was 7 Leaves, which is definitely quite different). Ding Tea also has a regular milk tea section, and a smaller Latte section on the menu. I briefly mentioned this before, but the difference is that a Latte is definitely made with real milk, whereas a milk tea probably uses creamer if theres a separate label. I figured it’s probably slightly healthier to use the more natural milk option(?), and some dairy now and then is fine.
Today’s drink was pretty good! The Jasmine flavor was strong and really stood out, nice and light yet still distinctly floral. Even though the drink used whole milk, it kind of surprisingly wasn’t that creamy or rich, which can be nice for a drink on the lighter side. Overall a nice Jasmine drink, even if the consistency is slightly watery (don’t confused that with a watered-down taste). The plus about today’s boba was that there’s a lot for the drink! It also had a good chew, and it was slightly sweet. Can’t get mad at my birthday drink 🙂
