Today we went to Omomo because my mom wanted some groceries from Trader Joe’s. My friend found a new website with short passages in Russian, so today we read a story about how kangaroos were discovered and a story about birthday revenge. Both were hilarious, and funnier than the original bear joke.
Earlier I was trying to decide what I wanted today, which somewhat came down to whether I was ok with having caffeine or not during this time of day. I ended up deciding that I didn’t mind, and instead I should dedicate that energy to getting more work done today. Let’s hope my productivity is good tonight…
Anyway, today I was a little more adventurous and got a Creamomo, which are foam toppings that are supposed to be Omomo’s specialty. I’m not generally a foam person, but I do enjoy 7 Leaves’s rendition and I liked 85 Degree’s that I tried from a friend, so I figured why not try Omomo’s version. So since I’ve only had cheese foam on top of Jasmine tea, I figured as a control I’d start there at Omomo, since Omomo offers it on anything, though the Jasmine tea is a specific menu item. Then we branch out…
First, I tried some of the cheese foam by itself. Omomo’s cheese foam is pretty good, a nice amount of saltiness or flavor, and somewhat fluffy yet creamy. I think the general ratio of foam to drink is pretty good too. Then I stuck the straw deeper and had some tea. I’ve had Omomo’s Jasmine as a milk tea before, and the plain Jasmine Tea is just as nice in it’s pure form. Very floral and a great Jasmine flavor, a great quality Jasmine. The drink overall is a nice refreshing Jasmine Cheese combination! I somewhat regret not mixing it as much, but that’s more of a personal issue. Today’s boba is great, super chewy and a little soft, with some flavor to it too.
