On today’s episode of Russian Wednesdays, we’re at Spiritea again! Today my friend and I went over a passage from a Russian learning website I found to practice reading and comprehension. We read about Russian bears. At the end of it, there was a joke (about a bear), but neither of us understood why it was a joke, and the internet told us nothing. This makes me all the more interested.
Today I ordered the Mango Cloudtea, which luckily they had in stock because last time they ran out. Last time, I decided to go for the Mango Cloudtea next, but today I was deciding between a milk tea, like my mom, or a fruity drink, but ultimately I ended up going with my original choice because I had a milk tea on Monday, and I had a coupon for a buy 1 get one cloud tea 50% off. Since I was getting a Mango Cloudtea for my sister too, I figured why not. This was a great plan until I forgot to use my coupon during the purchase. At least I get points in my app, which I got up and running thanks Sara(h?) after not getting any points last time.
The Mango Cloudtea tastes like super ripe mangos! It’s a very simple, refreshing, fruity drink, and definitely a recommendation for people who like mangos. I also mixed in the cloud cream more this time, so it was a smoother transition into the cloud flavor and worked a lot better than last time.
I didn’t get boba, even crystal boba this time, so does this really belong on the blog? Maybe, maybe not, but I still got a not-boba selfie with my friend. I kind of just wanted more drink today and not entirely in the crystal boba mood I guess.
As a side note, Spiritea is definitely a place for when you want to treat yourself. Three drinks and four small cakes came out to be $52…I haven’t had the cakes yet, but they better be good. At least I’m hoping if I ever get enough points it’ll even out my purchases.
