Itchy Peachy – Omomo Tea Shoppe

We’re back with some Omomo after quite a while! While I wouldn’t say I miss Omomo entirely, I have heard about their recent “new” seasonal drinks: Osmanthus Oolong and Itchy Peachy. They both sound pretty good, and I’ve heard good things. Obviously, I gotta try them, but I didn’t know when they’d be “out of season” or “run out” or when the “limited run” is over (they’re still there at the time of this post…hopefully will still be there a little longer!). I really wish Omomo would update their website with information on these drinks with their regular menu, but oh well.

Obviously by the title of the post, today I went with the Itchy Peachy, which is essentially a peach slush, with cheese cream I think? I decided to go for the Itchy Peachy over trying the Osmanthus Oolong because I felt the Itchy Peachy was a more unique drink. Osmanthus Oolong isn’t necessarily not unique, but I figured I could potentially have similar drinks elsewhere. Besides, if I were to try it, I would get it in milk tea form first, out of fresh tea, creamomo (Omomo’s foam topping), and milk tea. Fingers crossed that it’ll still be there when I get Omomo next!

The drink definitely lives up to the hype, and it’s not just super pretty. My first sip was of just the peach slushy, and it did not disappoint. It tastes like real peaches! Not like artificial peach syrup or flavoring, but like actual peaches. It’s like I’m literally drinking a peach instead of eating it. I’ve had peach flavored things, and some peach teas recently, but this is the closest flavor to an actual peach. Wow. It’s a super refreshing drink for such a hot summer day too. The cheese cream actually didn’t stick out too much, and surprisingly complimented the slush. I really only tasted it on its own by the time I was finishing the drink, and it’s not bad on its own actually. Opened my mind more to the idea of cheese cream in my drinks! Boba is nice today, a little chewy, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Oh, and I had a sip of my dad’s Oreo Brûlée Green Milk Tea. Interesting drink, and not bad.
