Throughout the day boba sounded like such a great idea because it’s been really hot. Actually, it’s been hot everyday because summer (duh), and there’s never a day when boba doesn’t sound good, so maybe I’m trying too much to justify boba (again, you never really need to justify boba but it makes you feel a little less guilty you know?). Anyway, halfway through watching Iron Man, my mom goes “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a drink while watching the movie”, and now we’re here. Heck yeah, thanks mom, love you lots <3. Oh, and you too dad ;).
We opted for 7 Leaves because it’s quick, but that’s because we just use the app and pick up so it saves us time. I really need more boba shops to get on that. I may not be the biggest coffee shop person, but that’s one thing Starbucks and other places are getting right. Seems like the more recent online boba ordering phenomenon is only because of quarantine.
Starting the boba blog has given me a reason to step outside my drink order comfort zone and try more drinks. As I was scrolling through the menu, I was trying to decide what I wanted today, and ended up with the Sunset Passion because I didn’t want caffeine. It sounds fancy, but it’s really just passion fruit juice, and I love me some passion fruit drinks from time to time. It’s a really good fruity flavor if you haven’t tried before, and I highly recommend any passion fruit drink. 7 Leaves’s is supposed to be fresh passion fruit, and the drink itself definitely reflected that because it didn’t taste of artificial sweetness. Even though I couldn’t adjust the sweetness level and got the regular sugar, the drink was the perfect amount of sweet. I did get no ice as usual, but ended up adding ice myself at home because I felt the passion fruit juice needed to be colder. Boba was great as usual!
